Dell D630 + Windows 7 Discounts

Retailwonderer (Wisconsin, USA) :
Everything was as advertised, except the hard drive was larger (not complaining!). Shipped quickly. It looks almost brand new. Everything works. Very good battery life. Faster than I expected with only 2MB of RAM. I figured I'd buy more RAM given that it's Windows 7, but I probably won't need to. Great value for the price.

SpiltMilk (Minneapolis) :
I was hesitant to buy a refurbished product but so far I'm very happy with the deal I got (about $225) for the Dell Latitude D630. The top was a little scratched and the corner of the lid has a little piece broken off of it but I don't really mind. I didn't try using the DVD player for a few weeks and when I did, discovered it wasn't working. I contacted the seller today who promptly decided to send me a replacement drive. The included software is of questionable value. I've had a lot of compatibility issues b/t Microsoft Office and the installed Apache Open Office. Also, the installed security software is only good for 30 days so you'll need to purchase or see if you can find a decent free one. Still, I'm quite happy with this purchase and the integrity of the seller.

Rockcat (Spacecoast) :
The laptop was a gift for my husband. I couldn't afford a lot and the price was right. It arrived well before the estimated date and shipped priority although I did not order fast shipping. I had written the seller prior to ordering and was promised a battery that would last 1-1/2 hours. This one lasts over 3 1/2! We are very happy with this purchase and have recommended the seller to others.

Dell Studio 1555 15.6-Inch Black Discounts

Marc Bills (Planet Earth) :
I purchased this laptop for college, and it far exceeded what I expected out of it. Its fast, reliable, and the screen quality is fantastic. I had Ubuntu dual-booted and it worked great, very enjoyable experience both on Windows 7 and Linux. Typing is very easy on it, as it has a pretty big keyboard which makes it very easy for those who prefer a normal sized keyboard. Gaming is basic, you can run some steam games on low settings, and the processor is pretty fast, great for school work, web browsing, and video chatting.

Kaushik Shankar "kaushik" (san antonio, texas) :
I got this laptop as a replacement for my Insprion Laptop. I love this laptop every bit especially after using Inspiron 1525. I love the LCD Screen, battery life and the configuration of this sytem. Windows 7 is really good and it makes me like my laptop even more. This one has the t6600 intel core2duo's centrino processor. Studio laptops stands out in its looks and is comparable to the Hp's. One the bad side, this laptop is a bit heavy.

Bookworm "Bookworm" (Minnesota) :
Just got this computer today, so can't speak to its performance, but I can say that of the three laptops I have owned, this one is by far the loudest. It sounds like a jet plane taking off every time the fan cycles on, which seems to happen every minute or two. This is really distracting and disappointing for a thousand dollar computer. I wish I had known this before purchasing...I would never have gotten it.

Dell XPS XPS15-9062sLV 15-Inch Discounts

Dness (Buenos Aires, Argentina) :
Upon receiving it I couldn't save anything to the hard drive, so Dell had me reinstall windows. Then less than a year after I bought it it died. Dell is claiming this is a software issue, therefor refusing to fix it under warranty. When the laptop refuses to even start up that is not a software issue.

Jon Cheever (WA) :
This model apparently replaces the XPS15-9375sLV. The earlier model had terrible reviews--primarily because the wifi wouldn't work if the laptop was more than 10 feet from the wifi base. Has this issue been resolved with this new Dell model 9062slV? Dell needs to let us know--I'd love to buy this computer, but I can't afford to spend hours on tech support to resolve a problem that carried over from the earlier XPS 15.

Kenneth hill (USA) :
I had a little problem..However, I called Dell support team. A very talented and knowledgeable technician came out from Worldwide Services, Bob Rudden..Friendly and helpful...Now I am back in service...Thank you...

David Boothman "Dave Boothman" (St. Simons Island, GA United States) :
Really must say I've never had a better notebook. I got pushed into it when Windows * was released and didn't want to be trapped into another ME or ME2, and I knew Windows 7 was a solid as XP. Normally I have it connected to a large display and separate keyboard and mouse but when it has to go it is very convenient, particularly with the long battery life. I suspect a major benefit is provided by the solid state drive and the unit starts up and shuts down in seconds. I've had it hooked to a TV using a USB to HDMI cable, to a DVD drive and an external backup drive and to Ethernet using a USB to Ethernet cable. At first I used a mini display port to VGA adapter but I'd recommend against it. The bulky little box and stiff cable mounted so close to the mini display port put a lot of stress on the connection and in fact the adapter became intermittent after a short while so I sought out a dedicated cable so the stress on the port is minimized. Fortunately the problem was in the adapter because replacing the connector in the notebook would be an expensive chore so abuse should be avoided.

HP_Seller (Maryland, USA) :
I've mainly always been the kind of person that likes bigger laptops, basically a portable desktop. Once I looked into the ultrabooks because I wanted something sleeker smaller and easier to get around for work I had an HP ultrabook but returned it and got the Dell ultrabook and couldn't be happier. I never preferred Dell computers because I thought they where to much of a commercial brand but after comparing the HP and the Dell ultrabook, Dell KICKS ASS!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Stuart Kerr (NY, NY) :
I bought this early on (March, 2012) and REALLY wanted to love it. Weight and form factor are EXCELLENT.
Sadly, it's just not all that. Screen was so so. Speed felt sluggish, even coming out of sleep wasn't great. It had a wonky track pad as well.

Dell Latitude D610 CD-RW/ DVD Wireless Discounts

Colbert L. Boyd "Bert Boyd" (Roanoke, VA) :
I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished D610. It has worked like a charm the speed and capacity are suitable for my needs. It's a great home computer, I don't have to do any heavy computing with it but it seems quite capable to take on any job.
The only thing that could be better is the brightness of the screen. I need to do some research to see if I can make adjustment in the screen brightness.
I purchased the updated anti-virus and malware software and updated my router, it accepted all I could throw at it and works just fine.
For $233.00 this has been a great bargain!!!

Daveb (oregon) :
I purchased this laptop as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It was specified as being in B condition. This made me a little nervous as to what I would receive. It came with a small wear spot in the paint on the key board. Other than that it looks like new and seams to be functioning just fine. Its a much sturdier machine than some of the lower end / like priced units I looked at in the department stores. My daughter loves it and I'm very satisfied with the value.

Skeptical (USA) :
As stated, this was a fantastic deal. I was a little skeptical of buying a refurbished laptop, had tried to buy 2 others elsewhere, both had pixels burned out in them. I was amazed at the quality of this one, not a scratch on it. It took a week in shipping from the west coast to the east coast, but the battery was still at 72% when it arrived and I opened it. It looks great, performs great, and Id buy this one again. The seller was very easy to work with, no problem with communication whatsoever. Im 100% satisfied with this purchase, no problems or hassles at all.

Gate1701 (OCEANSIDE, CA, US) :
I want others to know how happy I am with my new laptop. I needed to have wifi computer access for a trip I had to make. I decided a laptop would be the only way and purchased it from Amazon. I have purchased other items from them before and have always been pleased with my purchases. This item was sold through a company named Tampa Laptops in Tampa, Fla. The computer arrived in great condition, however when I shipped it to my travel location it was damaged during that shipment. I contacted Tampa Laptop and they repaired it within 2 days and shipped it back. Zack at Tampa Laptop was great. Due to their service and helpfulness, I would not only purchase from them again but strongly recommend them for any laptop purchase or service.

M. LOONEY (Corpus Christi, TX USA) :
So far so good. I am very impressed with the performance and speed. I replaced an HP computer bought new 4 years ago, and believe me this is an upgrade from that. I did have to load anti virus, I prefer Trend Micro Internet Security. I use the computer for bill paying, e-mail, and my medical records. I plan on buying a extended service policy from Square Trade. You can't go wrong buying from Tampa-Laptops.

Amy Housley "Amy" (Oklahoma) :
I purchased the refurbished laptop for my son's 11th birthday & it was a big hit. The laptop was actually better then described. There weren't any noticiable blemishes, such as tiny scratches, worn keys, etc. And for $177 w/ free shipping, you just can't beat the price, especially when it's just like new. I know the day is coming with my laptop, which brand new, I paid over $600 for, and I definitely will go this route & save money. This laptop was completly ready to go out of the box, the wifi was all set up & Microsoft was ready to go. Tampa Laptops did a great job w/ the refurb & offers them at an unbeatable price. I am very satisfied with my purchase & will purchase from Tampa Laptops again. Great seller!! Spread the word that Tampa Laptops is a wonderful outlet to purchase refurbished laptops & save you money!!!!

Dell Inspiron i15R-2105sLV 15-Inch Discounts

Jack's Mom (Hatboro, PA, US) :
My husband is a total music freak and has been without his 40,000 songs for over 2 years because our desktop crapped out. This computer was so reasonably priced and arrived so quickly, I was able to give him his birthday present early so he could spend Thanksgiving weekend getting it up and running. The amount of memory and hard drive space is also so generous for the price. Great buy, great seller!

GadgetGirl (Poughkeepsie, ny) :
To clear up any confusion, this computer is a Dell model 5520. I'm not sure why the seller does not change or include this in the description, as a clarification seems suitable. In any event, this is my second inspiron. I really like it thus far. The sound is unbelievable as they have moved the speakers to the front. I did not give it 5 stars due to the highly reflective screen, and the lacking battery life. The keyboard is arranged a bit different than my older inspiron, but that is not an issue for me. I bought this as I did not want a Win 8 model. If you feel the same, I suggest that you buy this ASAP. Glad I made this purchase.

Marcia Vogl (Santa Ana, CA, US) :
Instead of getting desktop for my new office, I opted for this lap top. It does all I need and take little space. I use an external keyboard and mouse so it's just like having a desk top. The scree is plenty big for my uses which is mostly word processing, email, and web surfing.

Dell XPS 13 XPS13R2-1150sLV 13.3-Inch Discounts

Roberto Alfonzo-larrain (Chicago, IL) :
the only thing is that some times the keyboard no not funtion properly hitting twice or 3 times the same keyboard!!!
also the Windows 8 is the worst ever programs from Microsoft, consider sell it with old Windows 7 or at least to have the oportunity to choose!
I would recomend it!

Jb (USA) :
yes it looks sleek and the keyboard types nice. But there is no Ethernet connection and no connection for a projector. My old latitude 4200 weights approx. 30 % less and has connections for Ethernet and a projector. You have to get used to the mouse pad. Screen is bright and clear. Biggest disadvantage is the crappy windows 8 software which is really a piece of junk

Shaoping Qian (WA) :
fast, rapid boot and shut down about 7sec. amazing.
but there is some problem with heat dissipation. The back of the laptop is always hot when large program runs. and the fan runs fast and noise.

Dell Inspiron i14R5-5743sLV 14-Inch Discounts

Dorothy Wilson (USA) :
I've had this laptop about 3 months now and so far it has been trouble free. It's a nice size; not too heavy, but large enough to have a comfortable keyboard. Love the touchpad and the streaming video and sound are really good if the source is a good one. I would much rather have Windows 7 than Windows 8, but it isn't available any longer on a new computer. I hope this one is as long-lived as the last Dell we purchased

T. Abramson (GA) :
I am very pleased with my choice of this Inspiron 14" laptop. The Intel Core i5 processor makes all email, bill pay and security features work very well with no freezes and the quality of the case and keyboard is just excellent. I like the 14" size much better for portability and can easily carry everywhere I go. Speed, durability, quality and excellent features !

Tessie (CA) :
first week of use, the battery works for 4 hours before i recharge again,, for 2nd week of use it last now for 2 and half hours,, always recharging.. advertisement hard drive says 750GB, but actually its only 650GB inside.. but anyway processor is good, can access the internet so fast, but low in downloading videos.. windows 8 is not good, i most preferred windows 7..

Dell Inspiron 17 i17RV 17-Inch Discounts

Doreen (Washington, DC) :
I'm writing this review from my moms account because she got it for me for graduation! I love this laptop so much, the screen is huge the keyboard is well placed as is the touch pad. The sound quality is great, i love listening to music while i study. at first I was iffy about Windows 8 but now I am extremely impressed with it. The battery life is not super amazing but honestly I can't complain. The texture makes oily fingerprints show up more than I'd like but it is very easy to clean. Everything runs super fast, the screen resolution is nice and the web cam is clear and not too pixlated. I'm super happy with this product and suggest it for anyone going into college or just having it for entertainment :)

Patricia "Say something about yourself!" (UPLAND, CA, US) :
I had a problem with the Start up screen not opening, it would act like it was going to open but it just never would. I called dell tech support, they charged me 119.00 to take control of computer with manual assist just to tell me that the hard drive was out. then dell tech support said they would repair hard drive but it would cost me 169.00 additional dollars. thank god for Amazon standing behind their products, what a fantastic company Amazon is, I would feel comfortable buying anything from amazon. disappointed in Dell
a company i have bought many computers from. What happened to customer service being good??? I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER DELL COMPUTER. THIS WAS A BRAND NEW COMPUTER, CHECK YOUR WARRANTEE'S

phyllis connell (Home) :
Well, I guess I am out of luck because I cannot return this item, but I would not recommend this product to anyone. Every 5 minutes, I get internet explorer not responded, and I have to shut it down, and then it freezes, so I can't even get it to turn back on. I pay for anti-viral protection, and I only use it for games and facebook. It is very frustrating, as it never works. :(

Dell XPS 15 XPS15-1132sLV 15.6-Inch Discounts

Brandon A Frazho (Gladstone, MI, US) :
I love this computer and have had it in use for a couple months now. I wish the keyboard was a little bigger (or even had the second number pad) and the battery is a bit shorter than I expected it to be, but those are seriously my only real complaints thus far. Beautiful picture and sound, fast, lots of memory, and a solid price for a nice Dell product. I would recommend to a friend looking for something a little nicer for college or beyond. The thing that really got me was a Blu-Ray player too. Nicely done, Dell, nicely done.

Gilberth Molina (Cartago, Costa Rica) :
This computer is amazing, recommended in all its aspects, has a screen with incredible colours, the keyboard is very comfortable, the aluminium finish undisputed, finally the soft part of the keyboard surface is great.

Mr. AHMED S. M. MAAMARI "lord_al3in" (UK) :
This is not my first XPS, but this one is amazing I love to buy this kind of laptop and I advice everyone who looking for an every day use laptop for work or personal, this is the laptop, the only problem is the software Windows 8, I recommend to remove it and I tall Windows 7, I gave my laptop to the local dealer and they downgrade it for free, other than that I really like it.....

Dell Inspiron 14z i14z-2203sLV 14.0-Inch Discounts

Rod Cr45 (USA) :
I had owned three Dell laptops and two desktops before purchasing this one, and was hoping for the good performance and quality I had come to expect from Dell, but I have to say I was bitterly disappointed. I think a lot of the performance suffered in Dell's efforts to cram the computer into that beautiful thin design as they rushed the release of this "ultrabook" without it being quite ready. I was so disappointed that I ended up missing my previous much cheaper and older Dell Inspiron T4400. PROS: beautiful design, quiet, fast start-up, thin. CONS: poor battery life, low screen resolution, terrible webcam quality, it loses network connection constantly, sometimes the screen cannot be "woken" when it is in sleep mode, and I would've traded the optical drive for an extra USB port (two is not enough). I rated it with three stars because after 13 months of use it still works, which deserves an "OK".

Grishma (US) :
This is my second Dell laptop in the 12 years i have been using laptops. I also purchased 1 HP and 1 Toshiba during this time. The first Dell Inspirion i bought in 2005 had Hard Drive issues(bad sectors) because of which i had to stop using it after 2 yrs. My Toshiba and HP laptops still work but i just don't use them because of slower processing speed. I have had problems shutting down this Ultrabook since the first day. After 3-4 hrs with customer service rep i thought i had the issue resolved. Then last week the hard drive broke down and the laptop would not start. Luckily it is still in the warranty period so i will not have to pay for the replacement/repair. Apparently Dell does not pay as much attention to the quality of the hard drives it puts in its laptops. Enough of this brand for me!

Hal (westlake, la United States) :
I bought this for my daughter for college this fall. It came with Windows 8, which we set up with no problems. It has a nice screen, keyboard, and the no smear matte finish was very slick. It is thin and light. She used the machine that evening, shut it down and attempted to boot it up the next morning. The "DELL" startup screen came up, but that's all. We returned it and Amazon promptly sent a replacement. We had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM with the next machine. I returned it and later bought her a Mac Air Book, which is a beautiful (but expensive) machine. It would seem that there is either an issue with Dell or with Windows 8 with two identical machines freezing in the same exact manner. Amazon was great at giving me a no-hassle credit, but Dell, you need to find out what's going on!

Dell XPS XPS13-40002sLV 13-Inch Discounts

Zach (Tokyo) :
Great product, very happy with my purchase. The laptop is constructed amazingly well and really feels premium. The soft touch keyboard deck is much more comfortable than the aluminum of the Macbook Air or Pro. I use the laptop on my lap and it never feels warm. Very quiet. SSD speeds up the computer. From boot to opening the web browser takes about 20 second with no slow down at all. Trackpad is great, just make sure you install the latest touchpad drivers on the Dell website. It was awful at first but now it is definitely acceptable and responsive. Only thing I wish was better is the screen. Wish the resolution was higher and viewing angles were better. That is my only problem with this amazing ultrabook.

Y. Ittach (Israel) :
I'm a software engineer and a maters student, and I bought this laptop both for work and for my studies. I have it for almost a year now, and I don't have a single word of complaint to say about it. It goes up FAST, the battery time is great, the keyboard and touch pad are top notch (you never notice they're there - which is the highest praise I can give to a keyboard and a touch pad), it looks amazing, the it's light weight and even the speakers are actually fun to listen to.

Mr M in Nevada (Nevada) :
The dell xps 13 is everything I expected. Its super fast, runs cool and is very quiet. The screen is high res, bright and gorgeous. Its very glossy but that was expected because of the glass screen. The keyboard is solid, easy to type on, good travel, etc. The whole thing is very well built, solid, nothing flimsy here. Because its heavy duty, its a little heavier than in its very small size indicates. I would recommend this ultrabook to anyone seeking this class of computer.

Dell Latitude D630 14.1-Inch Discounts

Teddi Bear (North Idaho) :
I got this laptop in a timely manner and it appears to be in excellent shape. However, when I had problems and called Dell tech support, they told me that the laptop owner had not transferred the laptop to me. Thus, I am unable to get help! I have contacted the seller requesting assistance with this, but have not heard back. When buying a laptop, be sure you get the ownership transferred to you.

Harold K. Hahn (Riverside, Ca. USA) :
If you buy one of these refurbished computers be sure to buy the warranty. The one I purchased only lasted 46 days which is 16 days past the 30 day return period. It quit working and it needs new screen ($600.00) and new battery. I didn't notice that you could buy a warranty when I bought it so I just wasted $300.00. Be sure you buy the warranty!

Work Horse (Seattle, WA) :
I,ve been a pc tech for 20 years and my dell d630 is awsome the keyboard is a little worn but got one off of amazon for 18 dollars also i added 4gb of ram. Had to get a new harddrive i had the warranty but the sent me a new one quicly with no fuse or trouble my only regret is paying double from tigerdirect instead of buying from amazon i know next time.

Dell XPS XPS13-1000sLV 13-Inch Discounts

G. Ryan "Gmy" (St. Louis, MO United States) :
Very impressive design in person....pictures provide limited justice... My first experience using a ssd drive...neither a hiccup or stall at all and is upgradable. Great ultrabook for my needs....burden less travel - great size slightly under 3lbs. Screen is beautiful at front angle views. Wireless connection is reliable and strong. Windows 8 however is a work in progress as I like what was done 'under hood' over Win 7 but the new start mode but requires practice.

Marcos Mattos (Baltimore, MD) :
Legendary june seels me a defective laptop. It's already registered on dell a month ago. Don't buy it
, there is no free lunch. There is thousand of bad review about centrino advanced N-6235 WIFI card. The new one XPS 13 comes with the killer N-1202, think about it!

Gg (plantation, Florida, US) :
Can not believe that this does not have a SD card slot.
USB drive is to inconvenient. Limited memory on 128 GB SSD drive after system software is installed.
At this price...this was a major factor that prevented me from keeping this otherwise decent ultrabook.
Will reconsider the XPS if dell makes a change.

Dell XPS 13 XPS13R2-1050sLV 13.3-Inch Discounts

JDCalVino (Virginia) :
Incredible laptop. I nuked the OS when I received it and installed Linux Mint and have not one bad thing to say about it. It's incredibly fast, light and durable. It feels very well made yet has some features I wish Apple would consider for their own laptops. For instance, I love aluminum cased laptops, but better for heat dissipation, looks great and durability. However when working with an all aluminum laptop it can get VERY hot and tends to be a bit slippery if on your clothed lap. This XPS is designed perfectly with a textured rubber of sorts on the bottom so it doesn't slide yet maintains the aluminum cover and frame.

Trexxcrap (USA) :
We ordered several of these for my job and everyone loves them, they are great speedy laptops, weight almost nothing and haven't had a single issue in 3 months of ownership.

Omar Zeciri (CA) :
I ordered this directly from Dell, the Dell XPS 13 is really small almost like a 11 inch laptop, I liked everything about it until I turned it on and realized that the Display is horrible, its a TN display, and if you even move it a little, the picture and color shifts and fades, horrible viewing angles. I just cant believe that they would put a piece of display on a beautiful laptop, that's Dell for you.

Dell Inspiron i14z-1000sLV 14-Inch Discounts

David Spencer (Spring Hill, FL United States) :
Some of the other reviewers here have had issues with Dell products in the past, as have I from time to time; however, you can't deny you are getting decent hardware for the money. If I were you I'd ignore some of these other reviews which clearly have not actually tried this exact Inspiron model as it was first released in October of 2012 and they are talking like they've had it for a year and a half! I've owned Inspirons in the past and plan on them lasting me 3-4 years. That's exactly what you should expect out of any inexpensive laptop. I bought this particular model because I wanted the new Ivy Bridge processor and SSD included with this model. So far, it works great!

Timothy L. Herrick (Chelsea, MI) :
It's hard to use this computer, but much of that has to do with the OS. everything is different, and some things are just plain hard to do, like turning it off, closing programs. The computer itself is attractive, light, good battery life, fast; but if its hard to use, those things don't matter as much. There do seem to be some response problems with the touchpad as well; clicking on it is not a reliable way to reposition the mouse or activate hyperlinks, and there is no side slide, which is a handy feature.

H. Saavedra (Chandigarh) :
I turned on the laptop but a black screen with the Dell logo appeared and the laptop didn't start working.
I ran all tasks suggested in the Dell's website in order to get the laptop working again, but it didn't start.
After all my useless efforts, I checked Internet blogs and they said that this is a common issue with Dell laptops.
I'm going to return this laptop.
I wouldn't recommend this product.

Patty (USA) :
I thought I could deal with Windows 8, I guess not. Nope, I still have to go back to the desktop. One thing I don't like this computer is that the outlet of all sorts of device are covered by little lids that they can easily broken off. I broke one the first 10 minutes when I receive this laptop. However, it's fast, that I can tolerate the other little things. For the price I paid for, it's a really good deal!

James V. Rich "jvr" (Newark, CA United States) :
So far I'm very pleased with this laptop, but like so many other folks have mentioned about Windows 8, it sucks but I will have to learn to live with it.

Zhu Lianjun (NJ) :
I just bought the laptop. It looks good. However, there is always some system problem. Such as the host processor for windows tasks has stopped working. And the internet explorer stopped suddenly. I asked the customer service. They only told me to restart the laptop. How was that?!

Dell Inspiron 15R i15RMT-9976SLV 15.6-Inch Discounts

Suzy Duzy (MO USA) :
so far so good...windows 8 is a bit frustrating. I don't like all my apps going thru Microsoft. Microsoft wants access to my Skype account. ..NO! Also McAfee craplet should not be allowed. I paid a premium price for MY computer yet McAfee is there uninvited. Note: If you give money to McAfee they will tell you you have a virus and squeeze you for $100s more to get rid of it. I personally found McAfee to be a scam.

S. Oyangen (Boston, MA USA) :
love the touch screen.. the processor is super quick. it has all the bells and wistles. Really what I wanted and should carry me through a few seasons. Highly recommended.

FJamesJ (MA) :
It's okay. Much heavier than I thought. It works so far. I feel it was worth the price I paid.

Dell Latitude E6400 Discounts

Katerina "Kat" (Kentucky, USA) :
I've owned my Dell Latitude E6400 for about six months now, and have been working with it almost daily -- running a bunch of web development and graphics editing software. Have not had any issues with this laptop that would make me regret buying it, overall -- very positive experience. The performance is solid, I had Win XP Pro on it, and now upgraded to Win 7 Pro, and it runs like a charm! The battery life is very good (I have a 9-cell battery) -- the longeste I've kept the laptop running non-stop is 4 hours, and never needed to plug back in; the screen size (14") is a good balance for travel and working in comfort. The built-in wireless adapted sometimes needs to be restarted (there is a switch on the side -- turn it on and off to restart the wireless, not a big deal at all), but I only noticed that this needs to be done after the system comes out of hibernation. I bought this laptop with a deep discount (it was refurbished by Dell), had some reservations at the time of purchase, but am a very happy camper now -- no worries!

Anthony (anywhere the Army sends us!) :
Shipped w/i 3 days. 3-4 hour battery life depending on what you have running. Can dual boot operating systems (I have linux and windows 7). Can play low end games like minecraft/FATE/Half Life really well. Runs extremely fast as long as you don't overload it with too many processes.etc. Doesn't come with web cam. Ram, cpu, HDD are all upgradeable!!! Buy it you wont regret it!!!

Tomkatt (Ewa Beach, HI, US) :
I usually don't buy refurbs but decided to take a chance. The Dell Lattitude E6400 arrived quickly and was in good shape. After a couple of weeks something went wrong with Windows 7 and it started freezing up. I emailed the vendor emphasizing that I didn't really think there was anything physically wrong with the laptop, asking if I could get a windows disk to reinstall the operating system. Almost immediately, I received an email offering to send a whole new hard drive with Win 7 installed. It arrived very fast and I would recommend both this model and the vendor I bought it from.

I needed this for a business trip and it arrived 4 days before I was scheduled to leave. Upon opening the laptop I noticed it had a pixel that was bright white on the screen. I called Amazon and they amazingly sent me a new laptop 2 days later just in time for my trip!! GREAT customer service Amazon, thank you! The Dell laptop is awesome as well! I've never had a problem with Dell, I call them die hards! always works no matter what! Love love love my new Dell!

Milt Freberg (Fresno, Ca United States) :
This laptop is fantastic. It operates with lightning speed. The battery lasts forever. The keyboard is very comfortable to use.
The only fault it has is the windows 8 really sucks for the ease of use. Nothing like older windows programs makes it somewhat time consuming. Overall I like the computer

This is a nice laptop with lots of features. Not sure I like the new windows environment but laptop is fast, viewing screen is nice size and bright. I had an older Inspirion 1525 and this is a great replacement.

E. Thacker "Grtmkr" (Baltimore, MD) :
This machine does a good job at computing functions but had a few issues:
The E on the keyboard keeps coming off and I have to return it for a replacement keyboard
The drive size of 120 GB is pretty small and I had to upgrade it within a couple weeks.
The trackpad is an ongoing and massive source of frustration, where the cursor just stops and I have to hit the escape key and gives jerky or spurious movements as I move my finger smoothly across it. This is the first laptop I've used in many years where I have resorted to using a mouse.

Legendary june seels me a defective laptop. It's already registered on dell a month ago. Don't buy it
, there is no free lunch. There is thousand of bad review about centrino advanced N-6235 WIFI card. The new one XPS 13 comes with the killer N-1202, think about it!

Laptop out of the box was great, I purchased it on sale for 699! However after a month of owning the laptop starting randomly losing power and turning off. Contacted tiger direct and since I had owned it for 35 days instead of under 30 they would not replace it, instead giving me a refund which I suppose is better than naught. I'm unsure if my issue was a defect specific to my computer or to the series itself.

Kelly Francis (Cherry Tree Junction, UTAH) :
Computer's disk drive does not work. Returned for a new one. Computer would not recognize the drive. Took to repair and they said return as they did not know why. Other than that I really like it. New one came and it works fine.

E Horton (florida) :
Wow is one way of putting my thoughts after opening the box to power up this laptop. Its great and the screen size is huge. Fast and easy to operate. Shipping was quick and delivery was no hassle at all. Check out this product for the latest and best. Great buy I think. Enjoy yours because I know I will certainly make good use of mine!

After going through all the specs on various computers this is the one I decided on. I searched Best Buy, Tiger Direct, etc.. and Amazon had the same exact computer for $50 less and I also have Amazon Prime so it was a win, win. I like how light the computer is, in the past I have travelled with a laptop and the weight was a big issue. I was trying to avoid buying a Windows 8 system but then I found the app called START 8 so I decided to try Windows 8. Start 8 makes your desktop identical to the old Windows 7 so I didn't waste any time going to Windows 8. System is fast, starts up very quick and screen is very clear. Keyboard is nice and responsive. I don't rarely use the touch pad so I can't rate how I like it. I also like the battery connection to the laptop. My old Toshiba had a loose connection right from the start and didn't like it. The battery life is also pretty good. If there is one thing I could change it would be a longer power cord, it could use an extra 2 ft. I would recommend this computer to others.

Toni (WA) :
Bought it a month ago for my sister. Just tested it but it looked awesome. Its a lot thinner than the previous version and its pretty fast. Only thing im dissapointed about is that it doesnt have swappable lids anymore

This laptop is purchased for my college. So far so GOOD! I love the product and it's solid. The Windows 8 is very different than Windows 7. I am beginning to catch on to all the differences, and some of them appear to be practical. The laptop itself is quick. My only suggestion is to learn to use your computer before you decide to not like it. Once you get use to it, then decide if you don't like it.

I've ordered this notebook on February. Very satisfied with It. One thing makes me annoying is the fan speed, but It is easly fixes by updating BIOS from DELL official web-site. Now there is no heavy fan speed! Just perfect!

Cindy Weir (Raleigh, NC United States) :
Thought this new system with windows 8 and the most recent processor would be amazing but -- most of my programs like word-and my media programs for the recordings and musci are constantly "not responding" - which is very frustrating -- I am actually thinking of returning this laptop and just getting an apple - because the Dell service is the worst as well - such a run around and no answers just more of a mess gets made -- love amazon but this is quite a junky piece of equipment

Manuel Ugarteche T (Dallas, TX) :
Got this computer a day ago and we are already having problems with it. The biggest problem I have is the registration of the computer with Dell. I know it's supposed to be helpfull, but it is cumbersome and doesn't flow right. Windows 8 is a problem as well, because it is such a large departure from the windows standard. They should have changed the layout of the keyboard as well, in order to achieve the complete effect on their customers. I'm looking into erasing the hardrive and installing windows 7. Maybe I will just return the thing.
